Took this photo as the sun was setting at the small harbour at Hill Head on the Solent in Hampshire.
Busy day, off early for the drive down to see Mum, wait for my brother to arrive then head off to Southampton Hospital to see dad and find out the latest news.
Well, late last night he was transferred fromQA in Portsmouth and had immediate surgery to relieve bleeding to the brain. He had suffered a midline shift of his brain due to 2 bloodclots. We weren't expecting much..!
We got to hospital about 2ish and there he was sitting awake in the ICU, consious of where he was although a little confused and dazed but overall, not looking too bad considering what he'd been through. Not out of the woods though...
The consultant explained what had happened, that they had drilled 3 holes in his skull and would be draining fluid for the next 48 hours. They were concerned about his heart as they had taken him off warfarin but overall, very pleased with how things were going.
Back home in the evening, cooked for Mum then we went for a little drive to pass the time.
