Miserable weather meant I didn't get out to take a photo today and after work we jumped in the car and popped to Ikea for a wander and something to eat - meatballs of course :-).
Hadn't taken anything today so had a quick look around my girlfriend's living room and spotted one of her many orchards she has in flower.
I tried a few different focus points, tried upping the aperture to capture the full beauty but rushed all photos as it was getting late and bed called.
Have been dithering about which photo to upload, but decided on this one as I quite like the focus of the two "horns" on the front petal...
Day of the Triffids instantly came to mind! It takes a certain kind of genius I think to make an orchid look menacing-lol :)
PS I dont comment on your pics all the time either but I always look to see what you've taken each day. I was born in England but we left when I was 6 weeks old and I still havent made it back...yet...still I find myself irresistibly drawn to people who are living in England on 365 and their pics.
