Agghhh... Lightroom!!! It has slooooowed my laptop down so much it has taken me over 2 hours to just upload this image from my camera and save in a folder. Will give it a couple more day, but think I might have to end my month's free trial soon if this continues.
After work I took a walk down to Tower Bridge and across the river to look for something to take. I hadn't intended to take the bridge as I've done this before, but after taking some pics I turned to head back across the river to catch my train home (no strike for me as I use the overground fortunately) just as the setting sun had burst through some clouds behind me illuminating the top of the bridge.
Had to take some photos as the lighting was very dramatic. I messed about with various shutter speeds and got some interesting effects. This may not have been the image I would have used, but got fed up getting frustrated at my laptop so this'll have to do...
Not sure whether I will be able to upload tomorrow as I've got to go to the mayor's ball tomorrow evening...!!
Nice Andy.. not seen this view since i was around 12yrs old, the last time i went to London was on a school trip back in the late 70s (apart from wembley stadium a few times with United & Wigan ) .. I really must try & pay her a visit again some day soon...

Love it! The light obviously but I'm a sucker for London anyway. I'm down for three days work this week so I'll be out and about in my free time trying to emulate a bit of this!
What a singularly lovely view of this iconic image! So glad you were in the right place at that moment, but whoa! 2 hours to upload?! I'm afraid I wouldn't have the patience... I'm not sure what you're getting in exchange for a wait like that!
