Finally got to go to Canary Wharf when it was dark to take some long exposure shots. Went with Sangeeta who hogged the tripod meaning I was restricted to holding the camera as steady as possible on the floor for varying times between 5 and 25 seconds as I did some experimenting with shutter speeds and aperture settings..
Took some good shots and this is all good practice, would have stayed longer but it was getting cold and we were getting hungry.
This one is straight out of the camera, no tweaks, no crop..
Really enjoyed taking night shots and look forward to doing lots more now it's darker in the evening.. Pretty much more of the same here if you want to see some of the other pics taken tonight http://andycphotos.shutterfly.com/623
Absolutely perfect...for night and holding it and no editing. JUST WOW! I think the river looks like chocolate....just so perfectly brown. I believe I must make this one a fav for me.
sweet Andy, so much colour! Thats what i love about night shots...although I've given it a rest for the moment. Hope fully will pick up again soon, dont want to resort to mundane objects of daily life
Wow thanks everyone.... I'm not usually a fan of the dark evenings but that was before I got into photography... might be reason enough to change my mind and take more pics like this :-)
Now when you live some where interesting you can deffinatly get great shots! What kind of camera do you use? I just saw this browsing. I've only been on a few days.
