I liked these bikers viewing the older modes of transport depicted on the silos in St James, northern Victoria. Prior to 1886, St James rail siding was the central depot for wheat from all around northern Victoria. Until the silos and elevators were built in the 1940's the wheat was bagged and hauled to the siding by horse and dray and later by truck.
St James, now a quiet rural backwater, was once the centre of a thriving industry where GJ Coles (of the Coles supermarket chain) began with his first general store in St James and a branch four miles away in Lake Rowan.
