Rice paddies near Ubud, Bali, 2016 on one of the walks I did near Tjampuhan Ridge.

Stimulated by travel photos on this site and plans to return to Bali in 2024, I have been sorting my old photos. I am going to post a few Bali pics over the next few days. Strictly speaking not taken on the same day but I hope you will all indulge me.

Many thanks for your kind comments. I watched the whole rice planting process over the time I was there. It's a very muddy, and time consuming job. And the machinery, if there is any, is often so old.

Thankyou. I was a bit shocked to realise that it was 2016!
I will be interested to see the changes when we go back next year.
Bali took a real hit during COVID with the losses from the tourist trade.
