Girl in Pink by annied

Girl in Pink

I was originally going to post a floral photo today then I started going through the ones I took while with the preschool kids - and of course my inability to choose kicked in - I just love this one - this little girl was the only one in the playground who wasn't the least bit interested in the camera and just went about being a kid. During the course of the evening I decided to go ACE, so the flower is posted in my other album - The Ones I left Behind http://365project.org/annied/the-ones-i-left
That is superb the selective toning is superb and the candid so natural : a wonderful image !

@paul2782 @854woodswalker @cjainmd Thanks guys, the colours in her clothes first drew me to her then after it was her relaxed and natural behaviour. She was watching the bigger kids in the other playground as they played.

@kathyladley thanks Kathy - the colour and the feeling are why I chose it :)

How do I love this, let me count the ways: the candid pose, the colours, the b&w background, everything. Fav.

It's a very pretty dress, and the colours pop nicely against the b/w.

@sabresun Thanks Matt, wanting to accentuate her posture and the colours in her dress led to to experimenting with the background

What is it about kids from behind? Just took a shot of my son like this last night. Maybe it makes us think of our own childhood? Maybe not seeing the face makes us assign an identity of a special child we know to the subject? I don't know, but it makes for a great picture.
