I love looking cute for photos

~a beautiful Dingo pup and a six word story~

The Dingo is Australia's wild dog. It is found in Australia, in all states but Tasmania. They are found throughout the mainland of Australia, close to a source of water.
The Dingo is a medium sized dog, with a bushy tail, and red to yellow coat. Dingos do not bark, but they do howl.
Ah, this is so great! We have a dog that we call an American Dingo, or Carolina Dog. We can't prove it, but she looks exactly like this pup. Here's a photo of her from last year: http://365project.org/darylo/365/2013-01-07

September 25th, 2014
Fantastic shot, I just love dingoes.
September 25th, 2014
What a gorgeous face on that dingo. I so think that, too, Sam. @gigiflower Was that from an old SNL skit or is that a common joke? It was with Nicole Kidman, i think.:)

Sam
@amandal Mmm I remember it being from the movie when Meryl Streep played Lindy Chamberlain and had a REALLY bad Australian accent and ran out screaming "the dingo ate my baby"...........it was so so bad!!!!!!!
September 25th, 2014
@amandal @gigiflower it was a shocker indeed - I always believed she was guilty - although Dingoes are pack animals and will attack the weakest first - it was over 30 years ago and I doubt we will ever know the truth
September 25th, 2014
Sam
@annied She was soooooo guilty, I'm sure of it!!! However I remember my Mum buying Women's Weekly and they were indeed protecting her. Of course the Women's Weekly was/is the bible of truth.........so maybe they were right!!! LOL
September 25th, 2014
@gigiflower SNL must have spoofed it. Was it based on a true story. Yes I see above.
September 25th, 2014
@amandal yeh they would have - most comedy shows did - it was a huge story and in and out of the news for years
September 25th, 2014
Sam
@annied @amandal And as Ms Annie mentions, we just had the 30 year anniversary.........and lo and behold we wheel out all the players again, including one of the other kids who was like 4 years old.....blah blah blah "the dingo ate my baby" HAHAHAHAH
September 25th, 2014
@gigiflower @amandal
I'm on the side of the dingo - and the tiger I saw tonight on the news that dragged some idiot who "fell" into the enclosure. People are such -------------you know the word Sam - like at the reptile park when people squeal when they bring the big snake out - what did they think you'd see at a REPTILE Park hahahaha
September 25th, 2014
Sam
@annied Oh yes I read about that man in India!!!! Apparently he was drunk and jumped the fence. Next thing you know..............DEAD! Of course the freakin' tiger was going to eat you!!!!!!!!
September 25th, 2014
@gigiflower @annied That is always so ridiculous when people get into the enclosures. They had getting eaten coming. Come on!!!
September 25th, 2014
@gigiflower @amandal yep - I am on the side of the animal - they are much smarter LOL
September 25th, 2014
It is awful, however, sometimes. There was a story where some people raised some type of monkey...chimp? And gave it to a special reserve park. They went to see it again and visit and the man got mauled and killed by another monkey, I think. that sucks. And it is a problem when the zoo enclosure fail or aren't high enough, etc. Awhile back some kids were taunting a lion (I think) at the SF zoo and the thing jumped up and got the kid. Teens or college kids I think. Be kind, you idiots.
September 25th, 2014
@amandal they do need to make sure the enclosures have secure fencing - and many of the smaller ones or ones in less developed countries are not up to standard - but I think those zoos should be closed anyway if they do not meet the correct standards for safety and animal housing and welfare - and sadly there are stupid people everywhere
September 25th, 2014
@annied And animals waiting to eat them and their babies;-).
September 25th, 2014
@amandal hahaha yes!
September 25th, 2014
Cute dingo!
September 27th, 2014
Are they just 'wild' or do people have them as pets too? He's so cute.
September 28th, 2014
@shepherdmanswife they are Australias wild dog and I believe some people have them as a "pet" but they shouldn't be kept as pets as they are a pack animal and can be quite dangerous
