Mowing

Northland Gal is my get pushed partner this week - 'my challenge for you is sooc colour or b/w I don't mind but depicting a person or persons at work showing their area of work.'
One of the gardeners/horticulturalists at Adelaide Botanic Gardens keeping the lawns trimmed.
It was a bright day - I need practice/teaching to get the light and shade right.
@dawnee here is my image for your challenge :)

@annied Do you like dreadlocks?
May 7th, 2017
@gigiflower not dreadlocks - just curly hair in a ponytail - don't want it getting caught up in the mower

Imagine mowing that steep slope. Phew!

He'd be working pushing the mower up that slope.

Pretty clever to capture that range of tones SOOC.

Quite difficult do in harsh sunlight although I quite like it as it is. You have to decide what's important when setting up the shot... you camera's meter gives the whole image an average 18% grey. So it will balance a very bright part of the image with some darkness. If yours has a spot meter which takes a reading only a small central part of the scene, you could learn a lot by taking a number of shots with exposure taken from different areas.

@yrhenwr I was on a photo course and we talked about that spot metre stuff :) I must spend time on learning that - once I was home I worked on some things and have forgotten lots
