passing

Wendy noticed that I didn't have a lot of action shots in my project - especially the faster motion type. So her challenge is panning.
So, while I was passengering (my technical term for in the car while not driving and can therefore google and take photos) I googled panning photography - a lot of stuff that assumed knowledge I didn't have hahaha until I specified camera settings for panning. YAY! Something I could do. So I set the camera and as cars were going by took photos. Oh lordy - many deleted attempts but I was sort of figuring things out. This is one of the results - I could say it was skillful but in truth I think it was bloody good luck.
Despite the frustration I enjoyed the process and did learn some things along the way. I also used the idea to try other things while out and about.

I think I prefer this one to your second one - and I think the fact that the car has almost driven out of the photo adds that extra element of speed to the shot.
