Night walk of worry by atchoo

Night walk of worry

Today has been a rough day… Yesterday our female Turkish Van cat, Sil, had surgery on her left hine leg, and we were supposed to pick her up again this afternoon, but right before we left home to go pick her up, the vet called to tell us that she were having some kind of bad adverse kidney reaction to the anastethic (blood in the urine and too high kidney counts showing up in blood work), so they needed to keep her under observation over the weekend.... Husband and I never had any human children, and our cats are our children, so we are very worried about her... I really didn't feel like taking photos after this phonecall, but when we went for a night walk to take our mind of things, I decided to bring the camera after all... (night walk didn't work, we still worry... but it was nice to go for a walk). Those fur babies sure have a way of creeping into every corner of one's heart.

Gear used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 + Lensbaby Composer Pro + Lensbaby Sweet 50.
I think this shot shows your mood exactly is one of the great things about your photography. I hope your cat is ok and comes .home soon.

I agree with you 100 percent about the fur babies. Did they do pure anesthetic testing prior to surgery? I hope everything works out. Beautiful shot!

@hubmom @egoodine
Thank you so much for your lovely comments, I really really appreciate it... we won't know more until new blood work is done on monday... But things seems to be going in the right direction, so with fingers still crossed we will hopefully be able to get her home on monday. Thanks again so much for your kind hopes.

@egoodine From what they say at the vet they did proper testing prior to surgery, so they are very unsure why she had this kind of reaction... it's not something they have encountered earlier. Vets in general are very thorough here in Denmark, so we are very confident that they are doing all they can.
