I love this little fella... he was gifted to us as a house warming present, when we purchased our home. He sits on this semi wall separating the kitchen and the living room - always reminding us to be happy and optimistic :-)
About The Hoptimist:
The Hoptimist was created by the Danish furniture designer Gustav Ehrenreich (1917-1984), and he designed them so they could represent a new start and as mentioned above, to remind us to always be happy and optimistic. As the Hoptimist company states "One little clap and the happy little hoppers jump smiling on the spot and radiate joie de vivre and cheerfulness with their positive aura". They come in a variety of designs, and I think they are quite lovely, and I like the positive intention behind them.
