Purchased some Gerbera flowers yesterday when we went grocery shopping. Normally we don't have flowers in a vase at our house since the cats too often knock them over, but so far these ones have been left alone. Having these beauties at my photographical disposal gave me an opportunity to play around with one of my macro lenses, and when I lifted out one of the Gerberas from the vase to lay it on the table a drop of water fell from the stem and landed on top of one of the other flowers... When I looked at the drop through my macro lens I noticed it was covered with pollen - just looking at it is almost enough to make my nose itch (I suffer from hayfever), but it's still very pretty, I think :-).
