I posted earlier (on 21st March 2017) about the pigeons nest we have in the old beech tree near one of the gables... Two pigeons have been nesting here every year ever since we moved in (we have lived here for only two years, and the pigeons have probably been here longer than that), but we have yet to see young birds in the nest. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that maybe this year the pigeons will have more luck... Today one of the birds came to visit the old nest from last year and I could hear them chirping... Hopefully they will decide to stay for yet another season... my fingers are crossed :-).
