The Alien Face Grabber is not an alien face grabber...

Turns out that the Alien Face Grabber is not an alien face grabber after all… a while back (on July 26th) I posted a shot of this plant calling it an Alien Face Grabber since I didn't know the proper name for it... well now I do... Today I noticed that some of the berries on this plant have started to change colour from bright green into this beautiful deep blackish purple, and this triggered my quriosity. After some Google investigation I found out that it's proper name is Indian Poke (the latin name is "Phytolacca Acinosa" and in Danish it's called "Asiatisk Kermesbær"). It's a flowering perennial plant, and the leaves are poisonous, so I wouldn't dare to eat any of these berries, but you can use them for dyeing wool etc. - I might try that out sometime - but for now I'll stick to shooting it with my camera...
