It's been a while since we have went for a walk along the small beach in Egense… it's situated right where the Limfjord meets Kattegat and it is actually a man made beach. It was laid out in 2005 with enormous quantities of sand, that had been pumped up at Læsø, a small island further up north. To protect the sand against the waves these long lines of large stones have also been laid out... It's a windy but beautiful place, and I like to stand here and feel the wind on my face and breathe in the salty air blowing in from Kattegat.
