It has been snowing quite heavily today and a nice thick layer of snow is now covering the ground and the branches of the trees. There are no winds, so even though the temperature is well below zero it doesn't really feel cold at all.
I just couldn't resist this weather and had to take a deeper detour into the forest next to where I work before heading home...
The snow muffles all sounds and all I can hear (apart from my tinnitus) is the squeaking of the snow beneath my feet... everything is incredibly still. This is my favorite kind of winter :-).
