Have you ever had an item on your desk for a longer period of time and after a while you stop noticing it - it sort of becomes part of the furniture - or when you walk into a room and notice the smell and after a while you get used to it at don't smell it any more?
Today I noticed something for the first time in a long time... On the antenna of our car there's a few ribbons of wedding veil tied in a small knot... This is a Danish wedding tradition which is supposed to bring the bride and groom good luck, and you are not supposed to remove the veil, it must fall off on its own... This veil is from our wedding a little more than two years ago - I haven't noticed it there for quite some time and suddenly noticing it today brought back lots of happy memories from our wedding day... this made me smile all the way home :-).
what a delightful narrative! i know exactly what you mean about becoming accustomed to things and then not noticing them ... part of what i love about photography is suddenly noticing those things again, as you did here ... lovely image too
