Mercury

Finally we have received a bit of rain - it started raining last night around 11 PM, and my husband and I stood outside for quite a while enjoying the scent of wet soil and raindrops on our skin... I have been longing for rain for a long time...
It continued raining throughout the night, and this morning I noticed small puddles of water covering the steps on our front staircase… The tiles are dark charcoal, and their protective coating combined with the soft morning light makes the puddles look almost like mercury (and no - I did not alter the colours in this shot).

Gear used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 + M42 to micro 4/3 Adapter + Jupiter-9 f2/85mm.

I agree they really do look like mercury. It's the way the light reflects on them. We have rain at last which is a great relief.
