The late afternoon sun peaking down at me through the canopy…
Today is the last day of summer - according to the calendar anyway... and what a summer it has been... incredibly warm and virtually no rain for two months. In early August every patch of grass were yellow and brown instead of the usual bright green, and the leaves on the trees had started to dry out and turn yellow.
Mid August the rain finally came, and it was amazing to feel the raindrops on my skin and to breathe in the scent of wet soil once again...
This kind of very hot and very dry weather is unusual here in Denmark, and the media is talking about how the man-made climate changes are to blame.
Experiencing this kind of unusual weather has definitely made me think much more about my own carbon footprint...
