late last night/early this morning, my hubby and i ran in the midnight streak. not streak like 'naked', but streak like 'run really fast' (:
it was a 5k run (and i use that term loosely) which started at 11pm and benefited the city arts council. they had bands playing all evening, and it was a really fun, festive atmosphere!
*i'm fully aware of how horrid the quality of this shot is. but alas, i'm documenting my year here on 365, and i couldn't very well run a 5k with my d90 around my neck, so...
Many years ago before my back and knees went South, I would have said, great time, but now...I just admire those that can still do it. Now I even wake up all sore and aching if I dream I took a run :) Great event, and I'm sure it was fun.
Brett, you are just too cut!!! I can't wait to get me some curlers in that purty hair for a photo! ;-) Congrats to you two! I can't even stay up that late let alone run!
oh, thanks friends! and i've got to say, to call what i did 'running' would be a bit of a stretch--there was more than a little walking sprinkled in there!!
and laura, just you wait, girl...
What a beautiful photo!!! Sounds like you had a lot of fun!! ;-)) Your comment made me laugh - I have to agree, it's been too hot, so it might be a drop of sweat! ;-) Looking forward to cooler evenings!
I love that you posted this, and I also look at 365 as a way to capture the events of the year, as well as showcase our creative visions and photographic talents and growths. Good for you both for doing the run! I don't run in daylight, much less the middle of the night ;)
Bravo! on so many levels! You're to be commended for participating in a fund-raising event and having some fun along the way, and I think it's terrific you also see 365 as a photo journal of your year! This is definitely a beautiful picture for what it represents, and for going that extra mile, I say, Congratulations!
You are so pretty!
:)
laura--thanks--that's so sweet!
and laura, just you wait, girl...
Photo is not horrid at all - everything else that goes a long with it makes it even more special... thanks for sharing, brett...
