West Quoddy Head Lighthouse, S. Lubec, Maine by berelaxed

West Quoddy Head Lighthouse, S. Lubec, Maine

Shrouded in fog on a beautiful day, my favorite lighthouse stands striped and indistinct from the beach below it.

My great great great grandfather, Ebenezer Wormell was a keeper there and later my great great grandfather, Loring Leavitt was an assistant keeper.

It was so foggy we couldn't see Grand Manan Island, N.B, Canada across the channel.

Wonderful shot and what an interesting family history to go with it.
