Snowdrop

Again *snowdrops* ---couldn't resist a little play at processing -- unfortunatelly not very sympathetically applied ---hope I get better at it with practice !!!
For some reason they seem to look very sad. Maybe it's the dead leaves around them that gives that impression. Nice shot though.

@missmercy I agree they do look sad with their heads hanging dowm , but I suppose they didn't look very cheerful among the dead leaves & the cold & gloomy day .Thanks for your comment .

I am not sure if they are sad or just trying to break through the cold cold winter! Great shot!

@mak2 Thanks Mary, there were masses of them all over !! but they were of the double variety and not the single centered snowdrops hence the heads are heavier !!!

@beryl

Oh you are so lucky. We planted some in our front garden but they just keep disappearing. Maybe something eats them. Perhaps we have the wrong soil/aspect. This year we have only 4 flowers!

@markjohnstone Thanks Mark for looking in

@quietpurplehaze So sorry Mary !! very often the new varieties do not have the stamina of the old variety . Squirrels & mice can be a pain with small bulbs
