Landscape charcoal & pastels by beryl

Landscape charcoal & pastels

The task this week at the art group was a Landscape in Charcoal,& Pastels I am not very fond of this medium to work in as I seem to get pastels all over me !! & also reminds me of writing with chalk in the days of blackboards in school !!In spite of this I was quite pleased of the result
That is absolutely superb, Beryl! I would be so pleased if I could do this! Particularly in pastel! You can do the smudging easily in pastel, though which makes form as you have here!

Lovely image and well done with pastels and charcoals! I find them both so messy although they do come in pencil form, which means you don't get them all over your hands, Very pretty landscape!

@maggiemae @sturnus @hillymay thank you ladies for your kind comments . Yes Carol, the problem isthat with the pencil form you can not achieve the soft watercolour effect but they are ideal for the more defined work .
