St Eata's Church by beryl

St Eata's Church

St Eata's Church is at Atcham Shropshire This church was originally a Saxon Church and has been on this site since 1075 The oldest part of the present church is the nave dates back to the late Saxon or early Norman era . The tower probably is from the 12 century, and the chancel from the late 13 century . The south porch is dated 1665 and the church was a gain restored in the late 19century The building is constructed in red & grey sandstone with a tiled roof
Over the next few days I shall submit more images from around this old church .

I always think it's amazing that old churches like this are still standing after such a long time. Interesting how this one has been added to over the centuries. Have a lovely weekend Beryl.
