Tootling along to look at the river Severn having bursted it's bank and flooding the adjoining fields , I turned to the hotel, you may remember the photo in the Autumn when the Mitten & Mermaid was covered with Virginia creeper - with its leaves a glorious red !
Been to the Rheumatologist today -- does not want to see me for 6 months , unless I feel I need to , but -- just keep taking the tablets & have monthly blood test --all sounds good !
@cdonohoue Thanks Cathy =the Polymalyga is behaving with drugs but the osteoarthritis is crippling !! -- on the waiting list for a knee replacement-- then need replacements for the other shoulder & the other knee --the trouble is I need recovering time between each op . Thanks for asking -- shall try not to bore you too much with it all --Cathy I can still smile !!
Beryl please feel free to whinge about the twinges (I know it is much worse than twinges but like the rhyme). I too have osteoarthritis in spine and neck, I am presently putting off getting zee knees (I have German g.p.) dealt with.
Sorry you have the Polymalgya to put up with as well.
You have a lovely smile and your pics always cheer.
Good news indeed Beryl....things are looking up.....you will be skipping about this summer!!!
A rather different look to the hotel in the winter although you can see the beautiful lines & proportions here better.
A beautiful building, I remember it with the Virginia creeper. Good news about the rheumatologist, sounds as though things are stable which is good. Just had my weekly dose of methotrexate so sitting here now feeling a touch sick, but such an effective drug I couldn't be without it!!!
My son has polymyalgia too - aged 47 but the steroids he has to take make a huge difference. Its hard to take pills all the time like these but it is something that works. Love seeing this magnificent building! I would love to stay there!
And it sounds like good news from the doc. How are you feeling?
