Alfie not amused and feeling sorry for himself after his annual booster and kennel cough shots at the Vets !! This is the annual ritual - Alfie looks spritely as he gets in the car ,arrive at the vets -- the tail drops and lags behind in the carpark and pulls back as we enter the door , Suddenly heavy breathing uncontrollable shaking , quivering ,and dribbling takes place throughout the visit , Poor Alfie is so distressed ! He doesn't want to sit on the table , the injection went fine , but the kennel cough spray up is nose is always disastrous -I advised the young vet to muzzle Alfie - and when she saw that she could not manage without she went and got the muzzle -- and all was accomplished !! Alfie was spent , his ego hurt and on arrival home he simply flopped on his bed .!!
Oh dear - & interesting. Poor Alfie. Jinks also hates the vet's and tries to run to the exit when the consulting room door opens but once home it's all forgotten!
Oh poor old Alfie, hope he's getting over it now. Thanks for all the lovely comments and favs on my pics over the past few years; they are very much appreciated. Look after yourself Beryl, you are an inspiration to me with your courage and determination in the face of adversity. Take care.
A lovely capture. Fav. I recognise the distress Alfie suffers from. My old dogs were just the same, luckily Daisy loves a trip to the vet.... she usually gets a little titbit
Poor Alfie, my dog Rosie feels his pain, she too will have to suffer this annual trip in about 7 weeks time and I'm already dreading it!!! Why did they come up with such a ridiculous way to administer the kennel cough vaccination! Good shot, i'm sure he will recover very soon.
Oh dear Bery I feel for both of you. Nothing worse than taking a beloved dog to the vets for routine stuff when they hate it so. Bet you were dreading it! He look completely frazzled! Has to be done though & it will be forgotten by tonight! Nothing like a corduroy cushion to sit on!
