Another dull morning on the 1st of May. Yesterday we took a short visit to Ironbridge and got back to the car as the Heavens opened and we had a real downpour ! We seem to have waited a long time before we have real Spring weather!
Again this year I shall participate in the May, half and half challenge. This is my 1st attempt - and not as yet convinced I shall do a whole month of this , but certainly shall dip in and out of the theme throughout of the month .
Nicely selected for the challenge. I like the contrast between trees and the wall with all its textures. Mentioning Ironbridge brings back some lovely memories when we used to come to Britain to visit my son who spent some years in the UK. Ironbridge was on my bucket list in every visit but I finished not able to do it.
A great capture of the new bright green all around us now! I think I shall pass on half and half this year as I'm good at starting off enthusiastically and then dipping out. A good start for you!
Love the trees here. You’ve managed to capture that beautiful lacey appearance they get when they are just leafing out. I try ever spring but seldom get it to my satisfaction.
It's been pretty dull in my part of the US as well Beryl. Rain, rain, and more rain. I guess the old adage, "April shower brings May flowers" still rings true this year. But it is still a beautiful time of the year when the trees start leafing and we get to see all the different shades of green.
