I My choisyia bush had grown quite big and I mentioned to Gary that it need trimming ! With apparent enthusiasm Gary took to the job ! mis construed the meaning of trim and cut it down to ground level !!!!!!!!!!!!! Aaaagh ! My heart sunk and was quite upset as the bush had been quite expensive and had taken some years to grow to this stage ! But with crossed fingers I took a cutting to grow in a large pot - after around three years - this is my plant AND as a bonus the original bush has grown again to a lovely bush !!
Oh, you've done well Beryl, this looks lovely. Mine has got far too big as well. Perhaps I need to give it the chop!
(Beryl, could you help me out again identifying my little red lilies! I think you identified them for me last year!)
Your little Choisyia looks very healthy in its pot and the larger one seems to be happy with a good trim. I used to have a Sundance but we removed it to have the drive paved but always loved its pretty leaves and white flowers.
That's quite the story, Beryl! What good news that your potted cutting and the original bush are both doing so well now. Phew, Gary says (and you too, I imagine) It looks so vibrant in the sunlight! Fav
Smart lady, to take that cutting—hedging your bet—though it does look like Gary knew what he was doing. Hooray! Now you have two of that beautiful bush.

"They" say a good solid cut back is good for a bush!

I'm glad it came back to its full beauty.
