The Burning Bush and Holy Ground by bjywamer

The Burning Bush and Holy Ground

Taken at the entrance to the Clay Street Cemetery. It's brilliant colors reminded me of the story of Moses and the burning bush that was not consumed, found in Exodus 3:1-5.
Gorgeous! I love the bright colors with the stone pillar! You asked when we have winter. The leave are usually gone by mid Oct. In fact we have some snow today. It varies. The ski resorts count on opening by THanksgiving, Sometimes we still have flowers at Thanksgiving, but not generally. Dec and Jan are the big snow months usually. Utah is funny that way. The weather changes quickly. It is suppose to freeze tonight.

@carolnorman Thanks for the compliment on this photo, Carol! I couldn't NOT post this one, as it was such an incredibly bright spot of color on an otherwise somewhat dreary day! Where are you in Utah? You have scenery a person would never tire of (at least, THIS person!) :-) Enjoying seeing so much of your surroundings, especially in this fall season with such wonderful color!

Autumn colour is so beautiful, like the last hurrah of the trees and shrubs before they go to sleep for the winter, only to start the whole thing all over again in spring (thank goodness!) I love these colourful leaves against the grey stones.

@calm Glad to hear you still have great fall colors to enjoy! We were blessed with an unusually long fall season for the Interior of Alaska and have only lost most of the leaves from the trees this week.
