Bison Bull

After seeing very little the first half of our drive through the National Bison Range yesterday, we finally came across lots of bison. Even witnessed two bulls fighting, just off the roadside. Exciting and scary! Will post one of those photos here, too.

That head looks so fluffy but I suspect bison are anything but fluffy!! All that weight and power!

@casablanca I don't know, Casa... Native Americans used to make buffalo (bison) hide robes for warmth, so I think there is some fluffiness to be had...just not accessible on the live animal! lol

The bison was my college's mascot so I'm always partial to pictures of them! Good shot- they must be pretty awesome to see in their natural habitat.
