I really like this old bookend which apparently belonged to my mother-in-law years back (though she really wasn't a reader). Neither my husband nor I can remember seeing it in his folks' home; but, then, Mom had a houseful of knickknacks! My sister-in-law passed it on to us last month when we were down her way visiting. I have always been a voracious reader, both for knowledge and for pleasure. Maybe that's why it has such appeal for me!
