Reminds me of The Magician's Nephew, the first in the Narnia series of books, where they jump into puddles in the Wood Between the Worlds to take them to other places.
@casablanca I had forgotten that... May need to reread the whole Narnia series... a favorite of mine, actually. Glad my simple , rather mundane photo sparked your imagination and memory of that scene in The Magician's Nephew
