Melody and I took in the Remembrance Day Ceremony at City Hall. Edmonton actuall has several locations that put on a ceremony. Some of them are help indoors and some are held outdoors. I guess I am old school as I prefer the ones outside even if the weather is a little on the colder side.
As usual the ceremony was well done and we give thanks for all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for us to enjoy the freedoms we have today.
Nice shot - I agree with the services outside. Here is Saskatoon one service is held in a huge building - parking is difficult. Standing outside in the cold is just an inkling of what our troops faced daily to bring us freedom.
@allred Thanks. I agree with you on the tribute shots. I saw your cemetery shot. I am not sure if you saw one that I posted back on Oct. 10 from one of our cemetries
@karenann Thanks. The cenotaph has been in our city since 1936. It was located in a different part of downtown originally. It was moved to it's current position in front of city hall in 1978
