The Same but Different by bkbinthecity

The Same but Different

I decided to post another picture of our Library. This one is take from the back of it while I was standing in the Centennial Plaza. I find it very interesting how the same building can have so many different looks to it.
I know which picture I like between this one and yesterdays. I am curious to know which one you like better.
Tomorrow I will have a different picture I promise
Good Shot Very clear!!

GORGEOUS tones. And love this lighting. Did you use a tripod for this? I love this one!!! :)

lovely night image and building. it looks like a huge library!
November 17th, 2011
I'm sorry I got behind, but I've looked at both photos and I like this one better. And I really love libraries! Sometimes I miss my trusty point and shoot. I did half my first 365 year with it, and it served me well.

niceshot,great capture
November 17th, 2011
dramatic lighting, nice perspective
November 17th, 2011
Great perspective and like the lighting on the building. Great shot, I shoot buildings from many angles which is evident here as I have posted 3 shots of Heron Tower this week :-)
November 17th, 2011
Like them both, but this one is more special, the colours are perfect. And it gifs a special feeling because it all looks so empty.
November 17th, 2011
Now there is a question! I like the coloured lights on yesterday's shot; today's though is sharper and I can see the building better, therefore I prefer this as I love architecture.
November 17th, 2011
Brilliant night shot!
November 17th, 2011
this is so cool bkb how you show us all different views of one lovely building
November 17th, 2011
Great nightshot!, love the light.
November 17th, 2011
very cool, this one looks so crisp and sharp, but i like the colours of the lights of the other. both shots are great!
November 17th, 2011
Great night shot! I like how you took different views of the same building!

Very nice capture. Like the lighting.

i like this night shot too, the lighting really warms the building. can't decide between the two tho ... i suppose the front view with the colours if I were forced to pic.
November 18th, 2011

Well, I do like the colored lights of the other shot, but overall I like this picture better. Since its from a closer vantage point it brings out the features of the building more. And I also like the angle you shot the picture from. And though there are less colors, I like the contrast between the sky, the building and the lights. Great shot!

@olivetreeann Thanks for the comment Ann

@bruni Glad you like it. The building was built in 1967 as a Canadian Centennial project for the city of Edmonton

I'm a little late viewing this--catching up. I like both shots, but I like this one better. The contrast between the building and the deep blue sky is lovely.
