Well this picture is being posted one day late as yesterday turned out to be a bit of an unexpected adventure. Melody went out for lunch with some friends after church and when she got home we went out in the early evening for a light snack at the MacDonald Hotel.
The Mac is one of our favorite spots to hangout and relax as it overlooks the river valley. It has been a well known landmark in Edmonton since it opened in 1915.
When we got home there was a message letting us know that my Mom was in emergency after having been in a car accident. She broke her kneecap and is having surgery. So my sister picked us up and off we went. It was after midnight by the time we got home.
So that was my day yesterday. I hope everyone has a wonderful week
Great architecture shot! What an appealing buidling. It sure has not been a good month for you and your family's health. Hope your mom recovers quickly.
Great shot. Very impressive looking building, does it look a bit like the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City or is my memory playing tricks on me (very likely ;-)?
Oh no, not more hospitals!!! My thoughts are prayers are with your mom and hope all goes well with her surgery. Your photo scene is so lovely. I agree it looks a bit like the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City. The only places I've been in Canada are Quebec City, Montreal and the Laurentian Mts. And, of course, Niagara Falls.
@cimes1 Thanks Carole. This hotel is part of the same hotel chain as the Chateau Fraontenc.. Those pots i Canada are very nice now you need to add Edmonton to your list.
gosh! That is awful - I so hope your Mum has a speedy recovery. Lovely shot, and obviously macca's means something different in Canada to the dreadful 'double arches' the rest of the world has had inflicted upon it.
What a fantastic shot! Oh my goodness your family has had more than your share of hospitals... hope you are done now. Sorry to hear about your Mom, hope her surgery went well and her recovery is uneventful.
This is a beautiful building and a beautiful shot! So sorry to hear about you mom and hope she is doing much better by now. You guys have really had a lot of hospitals and doctors lately.
Great PoV and great looking architecture
