Autumn is on the way

This is the street we live on and you can certainly tell by looking at those trees that the first day of autumn is here soon. I do love the colour of the leaves as they change but I still love the wonderful warm weather of the summer. Well maybe we will be fortunate and the weather will be nice for the autumn season

Unlike your trees, our trees don't change so fully. Most of our trees stay green all year round, while others - like the Liquid Amber - turn all shades of red, orange and amber and go naked in Winter... before coming back in Spring with bright green leaves each year. :D

Very nice! I was noticing the trees are definitely turning now as I was out driving yesterday. I guess I must face the fact that the world keeps turning so the seasons will change!

our leaves are changing too. very weird this year tho, as there are lots of examples where some whole branches are bright red and the rest of the tree is still green. drought related, probably.

Beautiful shot, Brian. I love seeing the trees turn colors and fall. Sure wish our weather would cool down some as we are in the low 90's then up to 100 over the weekend. Not usual for this time of the year. It is usually cooler, though we are having cool mornings which we all appreciate.
