Well today's word is birthday. So I decided that why not stop off on my way home and snap a shot of the hospital where I was born. The Royal Alexandra Hospital has gone through a number of changes since Dec. 1962. A few additions have been built and some renovations to soe of the older sections have been done. Now the latest change is on the outside as a new station is being added as they expand the Light Rail Transit system here in Edmonton
What a great idea for the theme today! I wonder if you feel lucky to have stayed somewhat in the same place? I am missing that kind of consistency in my "history" - sometimes it makes for bittersweet kind of feelings, as when you move, you so often leave much behind. . .
What a great shot for the theme, Brian. So, you stayed close to where you were born. I am 100 miles away and sometimes wish we would have stayed in the area my husband and I were both born.
@lyno I really am glad that I have lived my whole life in Edmonton. I feel it gives a person a stronger appreciation for the place they call home when you have seen all of the changes that have taken place over the years
Nice birthday shot! If birthday had fallen on the 13th or 17th I would have had a great reason to do a birthday shot. But since it was on the 12th I opted for a sub. You, on the other hand, found a very creative way to accomplish the shot!
