Solid Rock

First off, Melody would like to thank everyone for all the lovely comments from her shopping picture yesterday. Well I was having trouble coming up with a shot for laughter. I did have an idea and then after work I forgot about it until I was on the way home. So I decided to switch the word and go with Rock. This is one of a set of bookends that I recieved way back in 1984.
We were part of a small group of young people that took a trip up to the Northwest Territories to work with some churches during the summer. While we were in Pine Point the couple that we stayed with decided to show their appreciation to us and gave each of us a gift. Mine was the bookends. They were a wonderful gift for someone who loves reading as much as I do and being solid rock they are lasting a very long time.
So now that Friday has come around once again, although for some reason all day at work I thought it was Friday. Have a good one everyone

Lovely bookend. Great to see a large collection of books! I've tried e-reader, I even take it with me on business trips but nothing can beat a real book, the feel, look and even smell is something that cannot be digitized. Have a nice weekend too.
