A creepy crawler

Yesterday in our tour of the museum we found ourselves in the bug room and some of you were asking if I took any pictures of any of the bugs.
Here is proof that I did
This is a salmon-pink bird-eater. This is one of the worlds largest tarantulas and gets its name from the fact that at times it will actually eat small birds.
Tomorrow we move on to the dinosaurs
I do like bugs Sam I am :-p haha great capture

@bkbinthecity I'm sure it was, and if my son were to see it he would start asking all kinds of questions: what is it, where did you find it, what the species origin, etc. He didn't get his snack and crawler interest from his mother, for sure. (Or his sister, for that matter! She's her mother's daughter!!)
