O Canada 3 by bkbinthecity

O Canada 3

Day three of my series Things Canada is known for. Today on my list is moose. This picture was taken at my sister's place. Her and her husband live on an acreage just west of Edmonton. If you have not yet commented. I would love to know what you think about when you think of Canada. Today's post is for Leslie @lesip and Beverley @beverley365 both of who mentioned moose
Excellent capture. It’s amazing how much taller the moose are in Canada versus a moose in Montana or Wyoming.

Kas
We were so lucky to see a wild moose on our first Canadian trip many, many years ago!

Canada is amazing! Please do keep up with this series, I know so little about your beautiful country other than most South Africans have emigrated there

I always think of my cousin John, who married a Canadian and went to live there. He moved between Calgary and Victoria and then Olds whilst he was alive.

I always think of the happy 7 years we had when we lived there - I didn't want to come back to the UK. We once saw a moose in the field by the post office. I also think of our good friends who we still keep in touch with and the freezing and snowy winters. We loved the snow and miss it here! I could go on ..................!

January 3rd, 2023
A great picture of a moose.
We reside in Canada since 1955 when we immigrated from Germany. we love it here. our first winter with all that snow was amazing. Later when our two children came along we took many a trip and have seen the mighty moose near Moosonee and also on a trip to Banff.

I've never seen a moose (probably good thing for me) although I've been to several different far flung (for me) places where I could have seen one. A good capture of this large beast.

The first time I saw a moose. Great capture.
January 4th, 2023
Great capture. I've always thought of Canada as always snow covered and cold, but I know that's not the case.
January 4th, 2023

Enjoying your project! Love a moose shot. When I think of Canada I think of ice hockey, very polite and friendly people and Shakespeare at the Stratford Festival in Stratford, Ontario.

Nice capture. I love these guys. I had a close encounter with one in New Hampshire a couple of years ago. It was a young one and very curious. It walked up to within three feet of me. I am pretty sure it would have let me pet it if my wife didn't make me back away. lol

Wonderful to see…..
we used to sing a song when we were little -
There’s a moose loose around the house…. I’m singing it and smiling to myself… 🤣😂
