Edmonton In Black and White.....Acoustically Perfect

On the third floor of Government House is this special room. Originally it was divided into smaller rooms and it served as the servants quarters.
Today it is where the provincial cabinet meets. It has a very special feature. You can be at one end of the room and speak in a whisper and it will be heard at the other side of the room

A lovely shot. That dome looks almost like a steam locomotive wheel. Presumably it is the dome that allows someone to whisper and be heard across the room.
