Today's post is about famous Alberta's.
Top left is Nellie McClung who was part of the Famous Five. A group of women who were instrumental in helping women get the right to vote in Canada.
Top right is Abraham Cristall. A Russian Jew who immigrated to Canada in1890. He moved to Edmonton in 1894 and helped establish the Jewish community in Edmonton.
Bottom left is Maude Bowman the first President and Director of the Museum of Arts founded in 1915.
Bottom right is Lucien Dubuc the first French Chief Justice of Northern Alberta.
The middle picture is a mural depicting all of the Famous five

How well has their legacy lasted, with better rights for women and acceptance of other ethnicities and religions, a fairer justice system and good cultural/artistic facilities? And I think Canada is quite a liberal country, isn't it? (Fav by the way!)
