Today is the last post for the Alberta Day Holiday weekend. My subject today is baseball. Baseball arrived in Edmonton in 1884 with the Edmonton Legislatures. The closest we came to pro baseball was the Edmonton Trappers of the Triple A Pacific Coast League. Over the years we were the farm team for the Chicago White Sox, California Angel's and the Florida Marlins. Both the White Sox and Angels played games here in Edmonton. Today our team is the Edmonton Riverhawks of the West Coast League.
Our Stadium is Remax Field. Over the years we have had a few different Stadiums built on this very site
Nice looking building and interesting history re the baseball, I have only every been to a game once and we were way up at the top of a stadium in Baltimore, everyone looked so tiny!!
