The leaves have fallen by bmnorthernlight

The leaves have fallen

The trees in Jesmond Dene have lost nearly all their leaves now. Winter is definitely on the way, although the temperatures have still been quite mild. It was quite a misty day all day. Unfortunately there was no opportunity to capture some misty views across the fields near work. By the time I stopped off at paddy freeman's Park, the mist had all but vanished - as had the leaves for that matter.

Great composition - I love those trees! The sepia effect is perfect.

Oh that looks a lovely walk... you've made the bare trees look really artistic and dramatic. Bet they just looked green with the leaves on!

@filsie65 Thanks Phil! This is the Eastern edge of the Dene and there are lovely views across the park, which is a really steep gully. The advantage of no leaves is definitely more open views :-) But it is a lovely oasis in the middle of town at any time of the year.

I like how you've captured this, the lead in and the path potentially leading out in the distance. Also nicely finished.

@cliffs Thank you very much! I did quite like it in its original autumn colours but I think the sepia really strengthened the composition and how the path leads on

@mortisa Me too :-) I had never really explored that part of it so much and just loved the paths - they seem to have been done fairly recently
