Spent a very restful and enjoyable day off mooching around Newcastle, enjoying the delights of the Continental Christmas Market. German Bratwurst anyone?
I just about managed to get a few last shots out of a drained battery as the lights came on - hoping to come back at the weekend now that I have 2 fully functioning batteries for the camera!
View from Grey's Monument towards Central station, Newcastle - the heart of Grainger Town.
Ooh you've got that just right - love the shine of the lights against the dark blue of the sky, and the roof of the stalls leaves you wondering without being distracted. Great!
Thank you all so much! It's been a bizarre week, trying to catch up from last week. Really appreciate you all checking in and leaving lovely comments :-)
@claireuk Do you mean the previous shot? It's in Bothal, a tiny hamlet near Ashington. Apparently most of the wall is from the middle ages, but a lot of it from about 60 years ago. It's always been privately owned by the Duke of Portland's family apparently.
@bmnorthernlight Ashington? Right a little further north than me, another place to add to my list of places to visit. Hope you survived last nights gales:0)
@claireuk Not the first place you'd think of I guess ;-)
Survived gales ok, but lost a few plant pots and a couple of delicate plants. had to retrieve bin from bottom of back alley...hope you survived gales too!
