Carved sand by bobbic

Carved sand

The water in the foreground of the image is a shallow, narrow ditch. Its feed water from tributaries right through the beach sand into the lake. The sand shelf looks like rock. The sand gets carves when the water is high and rushes through. You can stand on the very edge of it and it does not cave in but you can easily collapse it by just kicking it.
Wow, very effective at showing the layers. Nice shot. imagine this goes through a lot of changes over time.
