Are Will Allen and Martin Clarke. An intimate gig at Aces and Eights in Tufnell Park.
Non-working day. Thank goodness as could have been busy what with some colleagues on strike. I wouldn't have been as my union is only just balloting.
Zumba class and a sesame bread lunch before I prepared homemade chips and halloumi peppers for supper. Did a bit of research on planning permission and what you need - fecking drawings and all sorts.
After an early supper, got the tube to Tufnell Park for the gig. Lovely evening of great tunes and arrangements and not a small amount of banter.
Had been expecting M to stay for a few days, but she's coming tomorrow now, what with strikes both sides of the Irish Sea.
3 good things
1. Remembered just in time, as I lounged in bed, that the gas engineer was due to come and service the boiler at 8am - all good with it.
2. Suddenly a bit milder which felt lovely on the first day of February - only one more month of winter.
3. E and W made it to Brown Boots also - nice to chat to them and their friend Will who apparently went to the same college as Dave. And then we bumped into Ben in the bar upstairs on leaving.
Great capture.... But now I have Brahn Boots on loop in my brain in Stanley Holloway's voice! I can't remember how the monologue went but remember the title and storyline!
