Round the corner from the office - someone's lost their trendy boots. Oddly earlier on the way to the tube station in Walthamstow I saw an almost identical pair sitting on a wall, but they were brown - if only I'd snapped them too, I'd have had a nice little mini-series.
Silly busy day again with all things going irritatingly hectic with the demand for weekend publishing for data - we're trying to make it communication colleagues' problem but of course not enough of them are trained up.
Grabbed a pizza after work from a tucked away quiet Pizza Express in Pimlico, as we were out again - to see old timey outfit Rattle on the Stovepipe at Islington Folk Club. Absolutely excellent band, but after last night's late one, I couldn't stay awake. The chairs were deeply uncomfortable, and the room crowded - initially we were at the front but as more people arrived, seats were placed in front of us so I couldn't see a thing. Left at the interval, Dave staying, so I could get an earlier night.
3 good things
1. Alice was suitably thrilled (I think) with the James Bond dry martini Charbonnel et Walker truffles which we shared in the office today - she took the last remaining two home to enjoy with her housemate.
2. Definitely milder - by Pimlico station this evening, a blackbird or similar was singing in a tree in the evening darkness and it sounded so spring-like.
3. M arrived safely bringing flowers and wine - although she's had a disappointment having been refused a visa for her American tour.
@jamibann@kjarn yes and honestly they were exactly the same style - suede high blocked heel ankle boots - only in a light brown. At different ends of London too, just bizarre.
Fun day for you too.
