After a long day trouping around doing more shopping on another scorchio day. Wanted to head out early but by the time I'd dragged myself in from breakfast in the garden, phoned my mum and rationalised the list for the online shopping order, it was almost 11.
Oxford Street just starting to get busy as I scoured M&S for the elasticated black trousers I like and maybe a summer frock or two. Nothing much doing but found a couple of black tee shirts to use as a base layer and leggings. After a tuna salad lunch off Oxford Street, I stopped off at Mephisto and found a pair of closed-toe Birkenstock-like sandals - in the men's section but a nice navy suede.
More errands after in Walthamstow - present for L and rice pasta but no rye flour. Exhausted and desperately thirsty got the bus back to sit in the garden with gin and to put the online order in. Also started sorting possible clothes choices for a trip away. Dave returned home exhausted, and was pleased with the Magnum treat I'd brought home for him.
Unbearably sad news about the three people killed in Nottingham.
3 good things
1. The tits were on the coconuts en masse this evening, squabbling and cheeping, 3 or 4 at once sometimes.
2. DIY tapas for supper.
3. Swifts and a champion swift box maker on Springwatch.
Yes! To both you and Jackie @30pics4jackiesdiamond , I don't know the name, but I use my silver and crystal all the time now... I love it and the kids don't want it... No use in saving it to pass along when we can enjoy it regularly! Get it out, Jackie!
Nice chilled capture. I looked at dresses in m and s today but didn't buy either. I'd already looked in Apricot and preferred theirs but was too hot and bothered to go back.... Maybe next week!
